What is the Repeat Timer?

The Repeat Timer is an automatic interval timer for recurring tasks. Set a timer, it runs out, beeps โ€“ and automatically starts over. Perfect for HIIT workouts, meditation sessions, tasks with fixed intervals, or reminder loops. You can run multiple Repeat Timers simultaneously, each with its own interval and sound.

Practical Use Cases

HIIT & Interval Training

HIIT workouts thrive on fixed intervals: 30 sec burpees, 10 sec rest, repeat 10x. The Repeat Timer automates this: set 40 sec, the timer runs endlessly. You focus on training, not on manual restarting. For more complex workouts (alternating 30s/10s), use two Repeat Timers in parallel.

Hourly Break Reminders

During intense work, breaks are forgotten. Repeat Timer: beep every 60 minutes, stand up, stretch, drink water. The tool intentionally annoys you โ€“ but for good. Prevents RSI, eye strain, and burnout. The timer runs all day, you don't need to restart it after each break.

Production Processes with Fixed Cycles

Some production workflows have fixed intervals: check materials every 15 min, quality check every 20 min. The Repeat Timer is your automatic reminder. Start it in the morning, it runs until end of shift. No forgotten checks, no manual timer resets.

Meditation & Mindfulness

Meditation sessions often use fixed intervals: 5 min breath focus, gong, 5 min body scan, gong. The Repeat Timer automates the structure. You don't need to mentally track "When are 5 min up?" โ€“ the timer handles it. Pure presence, no timer management during the session.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How do I stop a Repeat Timer?

Click the pause or stop button of the respective timer. The timer pauses (and can be resumed) or stops completely (and must be restarted). There's no "auto-stop after X repetitions" โ€“ you stop manually when you're done.

Can I have different sounds for different timers?

Yes, each Repeat Timer can have its own sound. When using multiple timers in parallel (e.g., 30s workout + 10s rest), use different sounds (bell vs. beep) to recognize which timer has expired โ€“ without looking at the display.

What happens if I close the page?

The timer stops. Browser tabs can't run background timers for hours (battery protection). For long repeat sessions (e.g., all-day break reminders), keep the tab open. Modern browsers allow background tabs, but with too many open tabs the browser may pause the timer. Pin the tab for stability.

Can I count how many times the timer has repeated?

Some timers show "Lap Count" or "Round Counter". If not in the current version: note manually. The Repeat Timer focuses on endless repeating, not precise counting. For "Exactly 10 rounds" workouts, use the Multi-Phase Timer with defined repetitions.
